A downloadable game for Windows

ABOUT:

The game took about 2 days to complete and had a game-breaking error related to the terrain system, but it was entirely my fault and a good lesson for future jams to double check the file associations before zipping up the final project. I used Blender, Godot, Affinity Apps, Gimp, Garageband and Audacity.

STORY:

Before humanity left Earth on their own adventure, they created you and your absorbent siblings for one singular purpose: to make the Earth look like humanity was never there. They decided to de-build the earth back to the way it was before humanity came along.

JAM INFO:

Zorbie 5 is an Eat 'Em Up game made for GMTK Game Jam 2024. You play as an absorbent nanobot nicknamed, Zorbie 5. The theme of the Jam was, Built to Scale. I interpreted that as "something needs to get BIGGER".

**I withdrew the submission to the game jam after the jam ended due to a bug with the executable. I tested it dozens of times, but this problem didn't manifest until after the jam ended. In summary, my goal for this jam was to play around with different terrain generation options. I really wanted to try the Terrain3D plugin for Godot. I thought all the game files were embedded in the pck, but apparently not Terrain3D's files...After adding the generated dll file back into the game folder it works. In any case, I still have a cute little game!**

As you eat, your adventure scales with you. You become able to absorb bigger and bigger things, but be careful because your siblings are trying to accomplish the same task. The zorbie with the most mass by the end of the game wins!
